v5.7 - 05.2026
With the release v5.7, the alerting features, the presentation of machine information, and the access options for remote dashboards have been enhanced. This version focuses on more transparent alarm communication, individually configurable notification schedules, and improved alarm escalation.
New features
Visibility of machine meta data
Starting with version 5.7, machine metadata can be configured to be displayed directly in alert notifications. This allows all relevant information about the affected object to be seen at a glance. In addition, notification emails now include a direct link to the corresponding object in the platform.
User-defined alarm periods
With this release, each user can individually configure the time periods during which they want to receive alerts. It is also possible to define specific days as completely inactive.
Enhanced Alarm Escalation
If an alarm is triggered at a priority level where, due to individual notification settings, no user is currently available, the alarm is immediately escalated to higher priority levels until an active user is found. This process is traceable in the alarm history.
If no user is active at the time of the alarm, no notification will be sent. This is also documented in the alarm history. Ensuring that at least one user is active at all times to receive critical alerts is the responsibility of the user configuration.
If an alarm is not acknowledged within a predefined period of time, it is sent again in the next run as before - but then with a higher priority level.
HTTP dashboards for ER1601
Remote dashboards now support HTTP and HTTPS protocols. This makes it possible to access, for example, a router’s web interface directly without requiring a VPN connection.
End of migration
The automatic migration of legacy routers has been disabled. Legacy routers are still supported for now, but this support will be completely removed in a future version.
Other enhancements
- Metadata retains its correct order and is no longer duplicated after updates
- The issue when creating new machines has been fixed. Dashboards are now generated automatically again.
- Router GPS is not displayed if there are machines with a GPS location
- Maintenance mode prevents new alarms during updates
- Bug fix in the handling of the router heartbeat
- Bug fix when displaying Grafana metadata
- Fair Use: Extended status information on the Fair Use status
Deprecated features
- Grafana AngularJS panels are deprecated and will be removed in a future release
- Node-RED Cloud for ER1301 will be removed in a future release
