Create new template

To create a router template, you have the following options

From an existing router

To create from the configuration of a router registered in Fleetservice, open the Fleetservice overview page of the relevant router and click on the "Create new router template" button under the "Configuration" tab.

Note

If a router template is created in this way, not all parts of the configuration are transferred to the template. This applies to the user configuration and any existing VPN files.

From a file

Alternatively, you can create a new template from a previously exported config.xml of the router. To do this, open the "Router template" item and press the button to create a new template, where you can then upload the XML file.

Update existing template

You can replace an existing template with the configuration of a router. Open the Fleetservice overview page of the relevant router and click on the "Update existing router template" button under the "Configuration" tab.

Use templates

When creating a new router

When you create a new router from the device inbox, you have the option of selecting a template directly.

For an existing router

In the router overview, you can use the button to apply a template for the corresponding router.
