User applications

The m2v Plattform provides a variety of applications that are divided into different applications to improve clarity and user-friendliness. Depending on the assigned user role, a user can access certain applications.

The platform offers applications that are tailored to end users and operators as well as applications that provide advanced administration and settings functions. In addition, a mobile application for Android and iOS is part of the m2v.

The m2v Plattform consists of three main applications: the portal app, the Settings App and the m2s.

Portal app

The portal app is the first app that opens when a user logs into the m2v Plattform. It provides an overview of all objects in the m2v, as well as their correlation and dependencies with each other. The online status of a router or a machine can be monitored here at a glance, or dashboards can be viewed for analysis. In addition, you can connect to the router immediately to carry out remote maintenance.

Settings app

The Settings app is used to manage all settings of the m2v Plattform. All objects are managed here, i.e. created, edited, archived and deleted. It is by far the most comprehensive app on the platform and can only be accessed via a corresponding authorization.

To access the Settings app, you must be a member of one of the following groups:

  • Platform Administrator
  • Platform Super User
  • Platform User
  • Customer Super User

m2s

The m2s app is used to administer the VPN functionality of the platform. This is where the VPN of the routers is managed, service networks are configured, users are assigned, certificates are downloaded and logs are visualized.

Applications for dashboard creation

The integrated Dashboard Editor or Grafana can be used to create dashboards. Both offer a variety of tools and functions to create and configure custom dashboards tailored to the user's specific requirements and preferences.

Dashboard editor

Dashboards that are individually tailored to the mobile app can be created with the dashboard editor. A range of different widgets are available for visualizing the data and controlling the machine. The preview mode enables the complete creation and validation of dashboards in the size of the end device directly in the browser.

Grafana

Grafana is the tool for creating dashboards and reports in the m2v. Query, visualize, alert and understand your data, no matter where it's stored. With Grafana, you can explore all your data in beautiful, flexible dashboards. And it's fully integrated into the m2v. More info at Grafana.com and Grafana Docs.
