m2s
The m2s app is a central administration tool for the VPN functionality of the m2v Plattform. It enables the comprehensive configuration of service networks, the assignment of users, the download of certificates and the visualization of logs.
Certificates
In this area, you can download a user's certificates for the VPN connection. These certificates are necessary to ensure a secure and encrypted connection.
You can also download the router certificate here. This certificate must then be loaded onto the router so that it can establish a VPN connection to m2v Plattform.
User assignment
Here you can assign users to specific routers or service networks. This enables fine-grained control over access to your network resources.
Service network settings
You can configure the parameters of your service networks in the service network settings. This includes the definition of IP address ranges, subnets and other network-specific settings.
VPN router IP
- Meaning: The IP address of the router within the VPN network. This IP address is used for communication in the VPN.
- Example: 10.155.163.2
VPN port
- Meaning: The port via which the VPN connection is established. This port must be open for VPN data traffic.
- Example: 1202
Server IP in the VPN network
- Meaning: The IP address of the server in the VPN network. This address is used by the VPN server.
- Example: 10.155.163.1
Netmask server
- Meaning: The netmask of the server in the VPN network. It defines the size of the subnet.
- Example: 255.255.255.0
VPN DHCP start
- Meaning: The start address of the DHCP range for the VPN. This address is the first address assigned to DHCP clients in the VPN.
- Example: 10.155.163.9
VPN DHCP end
- Meaning: The end address of the DHCP range for the VPN. This address is the last address assigned to DHCP clients in the VPN.
- Example: 10.155.163.19
IP service network
- Meaning: The IP address of the service network. This address is used for the administration and operation of the VPN service network.
- Example: 192.168.155.0
Netmask service network
- Meaning: The netmask of the service network. It defines the size of the service network subnet.
- Example: 255.255.255.0
Comment
- Meaning: An optional field to add notes or comments to the configuration.
- Example: Cloud router
VPN connection protocol
- Meaning: The protocol used for the VPN connection. Here you can choose between different protocols such as TCP and UDP.
- Example: TCP
Log level
- Meaning: The logging level that is set for the VPN connection. A lower value means less detailed logs, while a higher value generates more detailed logs.
- Example: 1
Mssfix MTU
- Meaning: The maximum segment size (MTU) that is set for the VPN connection. This can help to avoid problems with packet fragmentation.
- Example: A specific value can be entered here to optimize the MTU.
Additional service network settings
Mobile access activated
Activates or deactivates access to the VPN via mobile devices.
Log activated
Activates or deactivates logging for the VPN connection.
SSL Tunnel
Activates or deactivates the use of an SSL tunnel for the VPN connection.
Proxy
Activates or deactivates the use of a proxy for the VPN connection.
Service network management
Service network management allows you to manage your service networks. You can restart new service networks and define a period during which the service center is deactivated.
Connected users
Under "Connected users", you can see which users are currently connected to your service networks. This enables real-time monitoring of network access.
Log Viewer
The log viewer provides a visualization of the VPN logs. You can search and filter the logs to identify specific events or problems.
Connection log
You can view the connection history of your VPN connections in the connection log. This allows you to subsequently analyze and monitor your network activities.
