Report

The report function is used to generate reports from existing dashboards (e.g. Grafana), either in PDF format, as a raw data export or a combination of both.

  1. creation of a Grafana dashboard: First, a dashboard is created in Grafana and configured.

  2. dashboard in the Settings app: The dashboard created and configured in Grafana is created as a dashboard in the Settings app.

  3. creation of a report: A report is then created with the help of report variables. This is linked to the previously created dashboard in the Settings app.

  4. the report is now executed regularly at the configured times and sent to the users

Creation of reports

The prerequisite for creating a report is the creation of a dashboard on the basis of which the report is to be generated. Reports can only be generated for dashboards of the type Grafana dashboards .

Visibility

The report is visible:

  • In the portal app: Reports previously assigned to a location appear in the portal app in the corresponding location under the Reports tab. Here, after selecting a report, the user has a list of its executions, as well as the option of downloading the report again or sending it again.

  • In the Settings app:** In the Settings app, created reports can be viewed and edited.

Report templates

Report templates simplify the creation of reports, based on once configured settings for execution and storage, as well as report variables.
Unlike machine templates, report templates are not linked to reports created from them. Changes to a report template have no effect on reports.

Report templates are visible:

  • In the Settings app: In the Settings app, created report templates can be viewed and edited.
