Portal-App Overview
Info
All objects, including user roles, hierarchies and dependencies, are managed in the Settings app. There you can configure and customize the settings for various aspects of the platform.
Objects
Navigation in the application takes place via tree navigation, which displays the objects hierarchically.
The tree contains all objects (companies, routers and machines) and shows how they are assigned to each other. The tree is searchable.
The structure displayed in the portal app is hierarchical and consists of several levels:
| Object | Description |
|---|---|
| Company | This is the top level of the hierarchy. Further companies (e.g. customer companies) can be created under a company |
| Department | A department is a part of a company. |
| / Router | A router is a part of a company. |
| Machine | A machine is a part of a company. |
Labeling of the objects
The color of the object icons indicates the current status, e.g. the connection status of a router. Clicking on an object opens context-related content on the right-hand side of the screen, which provides detailed information about the object.
Router status
A distinction is made between four router statuses. The status always refers to VPN and MQTT:
| Symbol | VPN | MQTT |
|---|---|---|
| legacy-operation |
Machine status
A machine can either be online, offline or historical. The online/offline status refers to the MQTT connection.
| Symbol | MQTT | Description |
|---|---|---|
| offline | ||
| online | ||
| historical |
